Who I want to be UF's next head coach......

With the sudden departure of Urban Meyer from the University of Florida, we have begun our search for the next head football coach.  In my opinion, the UF job is the best job in the nation.  We have the best fan base, the best facilities, plenty of money, best recruiting state and we have the motivation to win every year.  Since we have all of these things playing in our favor, we will have many viable candidates willing to bolt from their school to come to the Swamp and lead us back to where we want to be, just as Urban did.  Though, as I said, there will be many viable candidates, I believe their is only one choice for the University of Florida.  That head coach would be.........

Boise State head coach Chris Petersen

You ask why I believe he should be the new leader of the best program in the nation?  First off, he is a consistent winner at Boise State.  His record at Boise is 60-5 since he took over in 2006.  During his tenure, his worst record is 10-3 in 2007 season.  He is a 2 time Coach of the Year winner and has won 2 BCS bowl games at Boise, a program that some see as not being worthy of playing in a BCS bowl.  He won a BCS bowl game in just his first season at the helm and consistently kept Boise in the National Title hunt throughout his tenure. 

With Petersen being able to consistently keep Boise in contention, it shows that he can coach a football team. Also, it proves that he is a decent recruiter to have talent that would be able to keep Boise in contention.  Just imagine him with the new recruiting grounds that is the state of Florida.  He is also considered to be an offensive genius.  He keeps opposing defenses on the edge with his unpredictability with his offensive play calls and has had one of the top scoring offenses in the nation over his tenure.  He has been doing this with talent that is not considered on the same level as we have a UF.  He has been consistently doing this and I think that UF should strongly consider this because of the offensively inefficiency that occurred last year.  I believe with his offensive creativity and his resume, he would be able to still recruit the same type of recruits that Urban did during his tenure.  

Also, I believe he would be the best long term fit for UF.  Though we have candidates such as Jon Gruden on the list of viable candidates, I believe he would be the one who would lead us to success in the short term and long term for this program.  Choosing Chris Petersen as head coach would be my first choice because of the entire package that he would bring to the UF program.  Also, he already looks good in that Orange and Blue, why not bring him to the real Orange and Blue then?
